Dr. John Paul Campion commenced full time practice from Rathdowney, Co. Laois on 1st January 2015 following the retirement of Dr. Niall O'Doherty who had been GP in Rathdowney for many years.
The practice operates from the Health Centre at Mooreville, Rathdowney and the building is shared with the Public Health Nursing service for the locality. There have long been plans for a Primary Care Centre in Rathdowney to better deliver services to the general region and we anticipate this progressing significantly in 2023.

From September 1st 2023 we have also been engaged to service the Health Centre, Main St, Durrow, Co. Laois following the retirement of Dr. David Rabinowicz who had practiced in Durrow for many years also. 
Both centres will operate with a single practice philosophy to deliver quality and efficient healthcare to the local citizens of South Laois

Opening Hours:

• Rathdowney Health Centre - Monday to Friday 09:00-13:00 and 14:30 to 17:30
• Durrow Health Centre - Monday to Friday 09:00 to 13:00
